Our tutors arrange a schedule to fit your needs. With other tutoring companies, your child must go to a center where they share a tutor with several other students. We provide one-on-one tutoring services in the comfort of your own home.

Feeling safe and secure about who works with your child is important, so we make sure the tutors we send to your home are highly trustworthy, reliable, and qualified. All Better Grades tutors are certified teachers or academic specialists who have passed a thorough background check.

We work one-on-one with the student’s own curriculum.
Other tutoring companies use their own company-developed curriculum that may not help students improve in the classroom. Better Grades tutors work in cooperation with your child’s classroom teacher, using the classroom curriculum, and we supplement school curriculum with WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning)-based instruction to ensure your child is working toward grade-level standards.

Other tutoring companies are national chains who are not as familiar or in-touch with your local districts, schools, and curriculum. Our founders have experience in Evergreen Public Schools, Vancouver School District, and Battle Ground School District. Our tutors also proudly serve students in Camas, Washougal, Hockinson, Ridgefield, La Center, and Woodland. Other tutoring companies are spread thin by trying to service both the Greater Portland area and Southwest Washington, but Better Grades In-Home Tutoring is dedicated to the students of the Greater Vancouver area.

Better Grades In-Home Tutoring was founded by Washington State certified teachers who know the standards for which your child is held accountable: the EALRs (Essential Academic Learning Requirements); the GLEs (Grade Level Expectations); and the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning). Our tutors can help your child achieve these standards and excel beyond them.
